Cambria Suites is an upscale all suites brand of Choice Hotels. Like many hospitality brands, Choice Hotels relies on web-based reservation system and display ad campaigns which drives traffic to the reservations website.
Choice has also invested in a mobile reservation “WAP site” and hoped mobile display ads would perform as well relative to their online spend.
The Challenge
However, the reservation WAP site does not engage the consumer and differentiate the brand. The mobile site is much more transactional – pick a city, select check-in/check-out dates and book a room. The mobile reservation system works well enough, but conversions on Cambria’s click-through traffic were very low.
